Looking back, it’s been almost a year and a half since we launched this finance blog: Learn To Invest. It has been a journey. Of course, it wasn’t easy having to juggle between my NS commitments and a routine schedule of posting.
Here, I would like to look back and reflect on what I have achieved during my short stint in NS before I Operationally Ready Date (ORD).
- I got my driving license
- I got my boat license (PPCDL)
- I made it into university
- I started this finance blog
- I met many people, from all walks of life (the goods and the bads)
- I gained better clarity of what I want to do in the future
- I learnt more about investments and personal finance
- I became fitter than before NS
- I understood why ‘Teamwork’ is the secret sauce to success
- I made life-long friends.
Yeah, this might not be much. However, I was constantly thinking about how I can possibly make my two years in NS more meaningful. Hence, in order to improve my productivity, I always attempt to do more outside of NS. With retrospect, I realise how important it is to take a break today, even though I do enjoy being busy. When I go to college, I might miss these two years.
